Lacy in Pastel...

Here are a couple of my spring frilly girly altered books. The covers have a bees wax finish. So much fun to work with. I am constanly finding a seed pack, or little item to put into one of the many sewn in pockets. I even died some of the lace. These hold many old postcards and found items from the past.

4x4 Art Cards...

Here are some of the art cards that I made last year, they measure 4 inch by 4 inch. I look for materials in magazines, old calenders, books and such. I'm known to put a dog in my art quite often. I also decopage over most of my cards to give a real art feel to them.

Scrapbooks-Blogs of the Past.

I found a prize at a yard sale this winter. It was filled with cards from the 30's and 40's. Valentines, birthday, and christmas mostly. In between there are bits and pieces of the girls life that is pictured on the left in the group. I was so happy to put a face to the treasures in this book, here's to friends. And a blog from the past.

The children were suspicious...

They did not think the photographer knew what he was doing. Edith even gave him the 'stink eye'. I have to keep the tradition going.

The Big Art Project...

Yes, can you believe this. At the end of my spring cleaning all my art supplies got dumped on top of old projects and this was the last room. The others were'nt quite like this. I love everthing in it's place but sometimes after I have a few days or weeks of being in an art trance. A few projects pile up and before I know it I am overwhelmed. Yes it is all about that creative trance that is very productive but does not even go to the pick up organized part of my brain. This has been my problem all my life. Solution #1 get an assistant/pick up person. Solution #2 Every evening put away extra stuff. I can't afford the first one so, I will try again at #2.
Can't even tell that there is a desk under all this, can you?

Big helper, Patty.

Little helper, Ruby.

Curious on looker, Charlie.

No help what so ever. Laddie. Not pictured is Pappy and Elliot.

End result with thanks to my sister for her help. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!

These two tables expand out to double. I will try to keep them in for now, being magnetic and all.

Yes just imagine that this is how it always will look. Maybe if I look at this I can believe.

Reminisce: great source.

These magazines are great resources for old images and great info. I always pick these up when I run across used and older issues. Bookman's always have them at half price.

Now that's a cupie face!

This is from one of the dealers at my shop. Some forgotten child found it's way into my collection. I better put borrowed or collected on the back of these in case I forget they aren't related to me in the future.

This is just sooo me, thanks Mike.

This is just like my dog! But Ruby would be a complete blur. I like how the face looks ghostly from the movement. Maybe this is me in a past life or something. Thanks for all the great pictures.

1930's Wine Bar

Yes, doesn't this look like it came right out of a monistary? I have this for sale at the Annex next door to the Antique Plaza in Mesa, Az. at Main St. and MacDonald, on Main Street. I am asking $550.00. I would have liked to keep it myself but really don't have a place for it. Also I don't drink but it would make a nice book shelf in the back. I just love the detail and wood. The Annex is just anouther part of the Antique Plaza so you can ask at the front desk, where the Annex is 2 doors to the west.

Yet another great picture of a girl on stage of sorts. This was in a book and was taken in 1930. I just loved it. Happy day all.

Today's Spring Flower

I was looking for an image for spring and I ran across this sweet image. Looks like a flower to me. And of course she's on stage and ready to go for her monday, how about you?

Big Art, lots of fun.

This is a huge collage that I made for my work place. I found most of the hardware in the back rooms as I cleaned up. It measures 4x6 feet. From ATC s to this. I made a big jump in size. It is on view at The Antique Plaza in Mesa, Arizona. This is the biggest antique store around. Two whole floors of great old things and lovely treasures. Well enough of that. This is for you mom. With special thanks to my uncle Jay for his strong arms.
