Maybe, or just a tadaaaa! Granddaughter Alexis. We have a long line of child hat wearers in our family.

This cute dog is waiting for his (free give away) are you? Just leave a comment to join in. In your comment let me know what you like to collect? I don't think I am the only collector around. Some times I just like to collect comments. hehe. Drawing will be Wednesday this time. I think I may have these give aways twice a month. Drawing will be for assortment of good stuff. See the last prize on earlier post.
My friend Suzanne let me take this home from work to scan for future art work. It is just precious. She is selling it in her booth if anyone is interested.
I had to add one more to the pile of backgrounds to be done. I love how the writing stamp shows the green just slightly through. On this one I painted shading around figure before gluing down. (Patty tip). I may loose the black detail of the skirt, but loved her pose. I have started painting on my child(my mom)Picture and the coral one with lady that needed a skirt. See previous post. These look nice now and am afraid to paint over but, I HAVE CONFIDENCE!
I knew this old bowl would come in handy one day! All 8 of you commenter's went in it and we have a winner.
How sweet is it? I'm sending you a muse card along with prize package for inspiring me. All of you deserve winning. I will have drawings once in a while on Fridays and pick winners on Monday morning. I really had fun doing this.
Here's this drawings prize.
This is one of the things I did this weekend. I got a unit from my store. Only $18. It is on a lazy susan type turner. Best part, 2 sided. I have all my paints on the other side. No more digging for that color in a drawer. A nice addition to my art room.
This is a picture that I just recently got for my birthday from my Aunt Sharon. She is my dad's sister in Michigan, where this was. My dad was a paper boy for a couple of years. I think this may be his delivery bike and his dog Nipper. Dogs love my dad and he loves all animals. I was so thankful to get this as a present. Have a great birthday Dad I'll see you in about a week.
I've been watching Kim's blog Sweet Sage Vintage with her Flicker challenge of colors. I enjoyed her greens. And I always love seeing her pinks. When I heard cream or beige colors, can't remember which, I thought that would be hard to do. I am not a Flicker member yet but most likely will be, I still am going to take some pictures. This is #1.
Little Ruby sleeps with me. But it's less crowded than when I had 4 small dogs. Every body have a great day.
This is the bright green background being covered with an orange pink mix of paint. I added a little glaze so it wouldn't dry so fast.
Close up of dot detail showing a little green. The other side I am leaving more of the green for interest.
This board had texture before painting so I have dry brushed the green with pink to show it off. The figure will go on one of these but not sure witch one. I will paint in her skirt later. I am nervous about the faces and skin. Yikes they may look like monsters!
I added this to earlier post as it shows background a little better. Directions follow in earlier post. Can't wait to paint over the image with acrylics. I'll either love it or hate it.
Yes we are trying a project found in Somerset Gallery. We are doing the first part at home. I took 4 different boards and canvases and gessoed them-2 layers then painted with bright bold colors for back grounds. The finished pieces will be a lot less colorful but the first coat will bleed through and show after the second layer.
Working with the purple one first I then cover with off white and while still wet stamped dots over all and wrote- etched on the side. After that dried I covered left side with pink over some stamping and dry brushed the pink color over the rest. Some purple is coming through and I uses gray for left side stamping so it would still show some.
Next I cut out enlarged black and white photo. And then added an image of flower with gel medium to glue on canvas. Work out bubbles and apply gel medium over images to set color ink. Now the fun begins. This will be painted with acrylic paints. This part Patty and I will be doing together. You can see where I am going. To be continued.
Here are some pictures that remind me of my dad. This is probably one of your fore fathers looking out across his land over there in Europe.
I think this is the greatest picture for the front of a fathers day card.
Could be my dad, but isn't. I dig those crazy socks. Do you think you could make this thing fly?
This collage book is sooo so much fun. Some pages can be less cluttered and some can have lots of stuff crammed in. I have scanned these pages but when I have more time I will photo them with 2 sides together.
Yes I was inspired by Tanya of Road Trip w/Ruby. I also found out they are called glue books or inspiration books. I have also cut up some fashion mags to go in with the art. The collage work is absolutely fun. I'm a little slow at it but soon will be slapping those pictures together. Thanks for the "inspiration".
Okay I ran across these cleaning my closet. It is so fun looking at the past. Being my birthday yesterday I decided to show some of me nobody has seen for a while. This is the 70's where did those nice full lips go?
Mid 1980's. I used to get pretty tan. Hence my wrinkles now!
Late 80's. Dig those glasses. I cut out my boobs as the bathing suit made them look sad. Not the best shot of me but probubly the thinnest.
Since you have had a look at my husband #1 in previous post, I have to give husband #2 his day. What is that sweet girl doing with that tatooed long hair young guy? Both of my husbands were rock guitar players. And I put up with each of them for 15 years each. Lot of good times but I guess thats my limit. I don't have anouther 15 to give so I'm taking the rest for myself. I like it.
