This is the magazine that got me started. I have covered some of my steps in previous posts. What a wonderful magazine! Lisa Bebi is the artist that has the article to get you started. She can be found in other publications too. The other things you learn as you go along. I find it so much fun! See previous postings for my steps.

100th Post!
Who's looking at who, is the question? I can't believe 100 already. Well I plan on doing a lot more. Can you see us looking at our blogs twenty years from now saying "Look at that hair-do!" Well as a present to me I will ask you all to comment on what you are grateful for today. I am grateful for friends and family and people I'll meet tomorrow.

The Clearing. A great book!
I just finished reading this book and I loved it. If you are interested in the way it used to be in the 1920's in Louisiana then this is for you. I like books that take place in the past but wasn't sure of a logging story. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! Thanks Tim for a great read. The book is 5 years old but I had no trouble finding it.

Is It Autumn Yet?
Can you tell I am thinking of fall? I love fall. In Michigan it is very beautiful in October. Here, it is just cooler and the light hits different on your skin. This picture could be someone I know but it is out of a magazine. It looks like she's running to just catch the coming Autumn breeze. This is my niece Lauren and Mel one of our, or my parents, Siamese. I really like this photo. Had to share. I know it is not even August yet but I am thinking of pumpkins. Picture app. 1990.

Lindsey's Prize...
I had to use a flash on this so the colors are a little reflective and washed out. It will be ready for you by noon on Saturday. Enjoy!

What to do today...
As if she had much choice! I loved her little hair-do. I need a stamp for the back of my adopted non-relatives. Collected unknown, would be nice.

We're waiting for rain...
This little gal likes her umbrella even if it doesn't rain. This is a postcard picture I am thinking of buying from my friend Greg. It is a darling picture. Many of my friends at the Antique store let me copy the pictures to use for my blog. I love them all, but this one seems to need a home. Remember to leave a comment on Friday's post for the drawing on Wednesday.

He's not giving away anything... but I am.
That's right, it's one of those Friday's! Leave me a comment and I'll put your name in the drawing. This guy is from a book "Cool Mutts". He doesn't have a name so I think in the comments you leave, pick what you would name him. I think he's adorable, but that would be a goofy name or maybe not. Any way I am giving out the usual package of odds and ends seen on previous posts (ephemera). Drawing will be on Wed. July 23.

Ginger could smile...
I can just see it now how my dad posed us. The fact that it worked is amazing. Too bad the crack is in the middle of Ginger's head. There is a huge pumpkin over my sisters shoulder. We used to be green. I don't think we ate them though, I could be wrong.

Another Black and White...
I have been getting together some odds and ends of pictures for putting in an album before they get lost. Patty always said she had short bangs, but it looks like I did too. I wonder what happened to that old chair. We loved the feel of the braids at the bottom. All three of us have the same nose. I wish I could have my dress now. I really am sentimental and nostalgic aren't I? Left to right me, Bob, and Patty. Patty was always Pat to me then. Some how she got that changed in high school. Too funny.

Burt Lake, Michigan. 1952
This is for you Amy. Your Grandparents in their teens. My moms dog, I think named Suzie. I miss that lake. My grandmother had a cabin there. Almost any summer vacation was taken here visiting my Grandma Beamish. Everyone up there called her Mrs.B. I miss her too. My mom says that the dogs name was Kim. The one before her was Suzie.

Now here is the man...
While in California my sister and I were looking for the best man we had ever seen. Didn't happen. They must have been on holiday other places, as she assured me she had some sightings her previous trip. Well feeling patriotic and looking for something for a July post, I was looking for a picture and happened across the best looking man (so far). What do you think? Patriotic for sure!

Thank you to my sister...
My sister Patty bought me plane tickets for my birthday. This was a great vacation. Lots of laughs, a visit with my niece and even stood by Diane Keaton at a restaurant.
3 Days in Prescott, 4 in Santa Monica...
My mom still had roses. Aren't they beautiful?
Enjoyed the rain and hit some shops.
This is some of the stuff I got at 2 flea markets in Santa Monica. More pictures coming.
