Paper Part Two...

So... Bonnie my friend needed a small wedding album made for Christmas.
Remembering about the comment on this paper I used it.
It turned out great and I had it out when I started using some transparencies.

First try turned out so well I decided to make presents for relatives. I tried different paper but only liked how this line worked.

I made lots of them.

I was very pleased how it looked with the beach and water pictures.

Just about done with this paper when I discovered yet one more use.
View here.

This is my new blog for the family pictures.
One more Happy New Year!

The Story of Periphery Paper and Blue!

Last year I made this book in Caroline Millers class.
This year I added some more and yes I miss snow!

I loved the paper that was used and remember someone saying
That it also makes a nice wedding book paper.

Next post you will see all the art and design I have used this paper for.
Most of you know I don't usually work in blue but I have been
working on that. I am so happy how this little book helps add a snowy
feel to my great room and looks great with silver.

Have a Happy New Year!

I found this picture in a magazine recently. There is something about it I love. I have been busy getting ready for winter seasonal visitors and putting up a new blog of family. Coming soon. Her Vintage Stage will have some changes like monthly themes, step to step projects and more art and joy and even some challenges. Have a wonderful New Year! January will bring white, pastel and sparkly projects, hope you will join me. True that!

Childrens Card?

I love the poodle!

Hope you all take time for yourselves.
Happy Holidays.

1954 Card and Thoughts of a Childhood friend...

While looking through a Christmas box I found a few more cards. I really should put these in an album and as I run across them add them. I am pretty organized but always something more to improve on. This is from the year that I was born. It reminds me of my best girlfriend in elementary school. She was also a Sandy. Merry Christmas to you Sandy Knight in Michigan somewhere. Off I go to another project. Does any one out there have a friend from a long time ago that they remember but have lost touch with?

Another Artist in the Family...

My granddaughter made this for me. I didn't help either. Funny she picked my favorite paper.
Close up detail. She loved using my punches and special scissors. Don't have to worry about ideas for birthday gifts!

My Christmas present...

My son, daughter in-law and grandchild came to visit last week. Santa is always on the list of things to do. Only one hour wait!We went to visit my mom up north. Almost saw snow. We were a week too early.

First thing right off the plane and off to Joe's Barbecue in Gilbert. Another family tradition.
Ruby loved sleeping with Alexis as we watched the tellie.(TV) I guess I was the only one watching.

Here they are back in Florida, glad to be back away from the Phx. traffic.

This is for my mom. Where's the pictures? Here they are.
Also I want to say Hi to my friend Susan. Hope you are feeling well, I have been thinking of you.

A Book Image for my Cards...

I found this in a book and I think it is the perfect image for my cards this Christmas. I really don't send too many but maybe this will encourage me to do more? My family has left and now I am getting back to some art. Hope all your busy days have a little time for you! My Christmas was last week so now I just sit back and enjoy the rest.

Santa's Reindeer Helper?

Looks authentic, but he is really an American missionary in Tibet. Looks like an old time stall boy to me!

This is so my true fave of all!

Old Steel Etching...

This depicts a cold night! Really old fashioned style, but I love the warmth of the red in the windows.

Old Christmas Cards...

I love old Christmas cards. I found this one at my shop (Antique Plaza), and just loved the odd colors. Some times they used different shades of red and green and maybe with age they change some. This one had enough pink coral in it I had to share. Have a good week end!

Blue? WhAT THE?

Most people that know me, know that I hate this blue. But I have been attraced to the blues with the little green in it. I love this cover on this journal and this will be my New Years resolution-to incorperate more journaling into my art and more blues. I really love the pattern on the left side. Some would say this is green but I see blue in it!

A little blue paper and transparency...

I love this shot of my mom and dad at Burt Lake on my Grandma B's dock with their dog Kim.
Personalized and cropped closer with a little focus clean up and put on paper with a transparency and I like this version too!
