I have just read a condensed version of this lady's life. I wanted to know what the appeal was compared to many other queens. She was beautiful and charming and very young. Her story is tragic and lived in an unfortunate time. They actually wore scenery in the hair- the rich. Among other things I would say the art world loves the embellished, and she certainly was!

her dresses were crazy, eh? I totally want to try that second one on . . . it'd take like seven hours to get in to it!
What was the name of the condensed version, Sandy? I have never been fascinated with her but with all the commotion in our art world , of late, my curiosity, along with your posted pics has tweaked my interest!
What I really need to do is get an audio book to play in the car on my trips back and forth to the valley.
It actually was a Readers Digest (old) of Family Treasures of Great Biographies. I also read the one on Albert Einstien. These books have about 5 biograhies in them. Let me know when you are in town next if you would like to borrow and I would drop off at Mystic.
I read her biography when I was a teen...about 10 years ago... OMGoodness...my nose just grew a foot for typing that...
I love your work, Sandy!
History is amazing, but those we very unfortunate times, but she also had great moments, that no one could ever imagine to even dream.
