Childe Hassam painting...

I love this painting. I am in constant battle with work projects versus clean and neat order of my areas. Even 150 years ago some artists studio can be beautiful and cluttered. I'm not sure if mine looks this colorful but you can see the organization among the clusters of things in every space available. Where are the pieces of paper on the floor and waste baskets at every table that I have? Mine has lots of soda cans and a few cats and dogs thrown in too. I really love the brightness and sun, got to have lots of light!

Mine have dogs "thrown in" - can't live or create without them!

Very reassuring to see a place looking beautiful and cluttered...my last post exposed my own creative mess space: a studio I either paint in, or re-order and re-organise mess in! (and it also has a special little place for my siamese to sit in!)

This reminds me vividly of my current sewing room! An explosion of stuff that covers every possible empty space. Only the floor is passable -- but some areas are not!

Every person/house should have his/her/it's hideaway nook....I have one and it looks a lot like this...I love roaming the room on a sunday and to find some long lost treasure and sit, dream, read, listen to music or the birds the whole day....I adore the painting!!
