Elliott went purring the whole way. He was so weak from renal failure he could not even hold his head up. I have to say he was the most beautiful Snow Shoe I had seen. Like some Siamese he was a one person cat. This made him very special to me. He was a bit of a bully to my other 3 cats, so they don't miss him as much as Ruby and I do. I have two cats much older but they did not go first. Elliot was adopted from the pound as a kitty and I had his company for 15+ years.

So sorry to hear about your sweet baby. I know how it is. We lost our Top Cat a year and a half ago and I still miss him.

My heart goes out to you today. My cats are like my children and each one has their own qualities that make them special. How wonderful that Elliott had an human that loved and cherished him. Big hug.
When I die and go to heaven (I will!) :), I'm going to chat with God about WHY our beloved animals don't live longer...
I've lot four doggies in my life and one day I'll lose another. Painful at best. Healing only came when I gave a loving home to another hurting animal...
Godspeed.
Love, Rebecca

Oh honey, I am so sorry for the loss of Elliot. I found a very similar kitty who had been struck by an auto, and the vet saved him by amputating an entire back leg...we named him Cocoapuff and he too passed away from renal failure later...our vet said our kitty was a "Birman" and like Elliot, he was extremely pretty...you can be happy that you rescued Elliot from the pound and gave him 15 happy years...
He must have been a very special cat to be purring till the end. Sounds like you were a blessing to each other. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Beautiful cat. I love cats. They play a very important role in my life, and your blog makes me want to cry. But fifteen years is great, and there are few things more special than when a cat chooses you as his person. You are very lucky.
I am very sorry for your loss. What a sweet kitty... they are like children or best friends, aren't they?
Thinking of you,
Christina

Sharing in your tears, Sandy.
Elliott was beautiful and he was so blessed to have had you to love and care for him. I'm certain those last moments were tough, but I'm also certain that he left knowing how special you are and how very much you loved him. My heart is aching for you. (((HUGE Hug)))

I share in your sorrow...just recently I lost my most dear companion Toot. It is wonderful that you have so opened your heart to loving your animal friends...even if that means having to sadly say goodbye...for now. I hope those still with you will be of great comfort...as only they can be. love, Rose
What a beautiful cat. I'm so very sorry to hear about his passing. You were so lucky to have found each other. Cats and cat people are special.
(I also left a comment on your August 8 post, I'm not sure if are notified of comments on older posts.)
I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a beautiful guy and I know you were blessed by him everyday.
Sandy, wrapping my arms around you in spirit. Maybe Elliot will meet up with my Sammy.
You poor thing...I have a very one-person seal-point Siamese and I will be devastated at the point I lose him. I think Snowshoes are quite unusual in the UK, I don't know why, because he looks absolutely gorgeous.

Oh, I can feel your pain my dear. A void in your life, for sure. I lost my sweet cleo, a plump tabby who slept in the crook of my arm for 15 yrs. She gave me great comfort, just with eye contact, and a touch of her paw. I'm tearing up...it'll be 6 years, in Nov., and I'm still tearing up! God bless ya.
Thankyou everyone for sending me such nice thoughts and words. So nice to know you are my friends out there.
What a beautiful cat! Pets are so like family
Sorry to that,it's so sad when pets leave us.
Thinking of you.
I am so sorry for your loss. It's always hard to lose a beloved pet. Sending you good thoughts.
They come into our lives and bring so much joy...when they leave it hurts so much.
Sad that when we abandon our friends who have lived with us for years and only ever showed affection and loyalty. a hug
Precious babies fill our hearts with love and joy. Keep safe your sweet memories as I do for my dear little Mei Ling, Siamese who went to heaven long ago but remains still in my heart after all these years. I'm so very sorry for your loss.
I'm terribly sorry for the loss of your companion.
Should you be looking to have the best from course then you should stay right in front row. This enables you to keep from receiving distracted, and will keep you centered on the lecture. You are more likely to respond to questions since you can not see all of the eye in the school for you. Vicinffu7ity
